This isn’t a brand new idea. Startup Pacemaker was touting its ‘Mållgan’ AI DJ a decade ago, including ways to share mixes legally with other people. Its tech even ran Steve Aoki close in a ‘DJ Turing Test’ in 2018. Pacemaker has since been acquired by B2B firm Tuned Global, which is using the patented tech for its AutomixIQ feature.
