Hell’s Kettlebells! Run to the Treadmills! And Fitness for All! Etc etc. Don’t think we’re poking fun: rock and metal tracks have powered some of our best workout sessions down the years.
Now there’s a startup focusing on exactly this. Metal Workout launched this week as the latest music-driven digital fitness service.
Heavy metal, death metal, thrash metal and black metal are among the classifications for its workouts, with the company also signing up several metal musicians including Trivium’s Matt Heafy and Mass Hysteria’s Yann Heurtaux as coaches
The French startup is working with B2B firm Tuned Global for its launch, tapping the latter’s APIs and playlisting tool.
“We started in France with Believe, but soon we’ll be able to add metal from the Majors’ catalogs, and our goal is to open new territories,” said CEO Stéphane Lefèvre.
Marvellously, the launch subscription offer costs €6.66 a month. I-Run Maiden and Metallic-abs would approve.
